Description

Stems grow from 1 to 3 cm. It forms loose colonies. The stems are erect, unbranched and reddish brown (below) to light green (above). The size of the leaves is 3 to 5 mm, they are light green to reddish green, ovate to oval-ovate and sessile. The edges of the leaves are translucent and either whitish or reddish.It grows on soil, humus, decaying logs or rocks in swamp forests. It is a type of partial moss. The leaves are broad, entire and with a narrow bottom.
