Description

The leaves can be up to a meter high. It blooms bright yellow from the end of May onwards. It prefers shallow water (up to 5 cm), but also grows to a depth of 30 cm and on moist garden soil. The flowers are on long stalks that are in one plane. They have three anthers and a three-part head. It is a European-Mediterranean species, widespread in stagnant waters, on moist meadows, in the lowlands and in the belt of the valley, rarely even higher.
