Description

It grows up to 25 m in height and develops a large and dense crown. Bark from the trunks of older trees falls off in scales. The buds are very large, brown and strongly sticky. The leaves are palmately composed. Bisexual flowers form a lanceolate inflorescence, the petals are whitish or reddish. It originates from southern Europe, and in Slovenia it is common in parks and tree-lined avenues.
