Description

The tall erect stem is leafy with lichopernate leaves ending in a large trifoliate leaf. The rhizome is articulated. Numerous yellowish-white pentagonal flowers are grouped in a branched inflorescence. The crushed plant smells of bitter almonds between your fingers. It grows all over Slovenia on moist, poorly ventilated soils with a lot of nutrients, where it often grows in larger groups. It is a medicinal plant and as an aromatic addition to various beverages.
