Leaves broadly heart-shaped (8-15 cm), shallowly sharply serrated along the edge, bright green, densely white-hairy below; autumn yellow. Flowers in light, drooping inflorescences (3-5 flowers each), simple, pale yellow, with many anthers, fragrant. Fruits dry, ovoid (0.8-1.2 cm), slightly felted hairy, gray-brown.
