Description

The plant got its Slovenian name after its characteristic 20-veined flower cups burst when pressed, especially when they are still completely closed. It has no special requirements for the site or plant communities. It grows on moist as well as dry meadows, forests, screes, along paths and on meadows. Young shoots and leaves are edible, while older ones, due to their toughness, it is good to cook for some time and they are also delicious.
