Description

Pulmonaria officinalis, common names lungwort, common lungwort, Mary's tears or Our Lady's milk drops, is a herbaceous rhizomatous evergreen perennial plant of the genus Pulmonaria, belonging to the family Boraginaceae. It is characterized by white spots along its heart-shaped undivided leaves that are tapered into a stalk. The surface of the leaves was covered with hairs. The flowers are star-shaped and are initially colored red and then turn blue-purple. It is found in deciduous and mixed forests.
