Description

It has a dense and branched crown. Short shoots are often turned into thorns. The leaves are simple, oblong and ovate or elliptical with pointed edges. The flowers have 5 white petals and are placed on the branches on short stalks individually or two or three together. At the beginning of autumn, fertilized flowers develop up to 15 mm thick blue stone fruits, which are covered with a gray-blue waxy coating. It grows best on airy, deep and rich, well-drained soils. It is more suitable for basic than acidic bases, it tolerates cold and wind well.
