Description
You will find it on meadows or in forests in many parts of Slovenia. If the flowers are fully open, it will not be difficult to recognize it, as the flowers take on the shape typical of most gentian. It also has a blue flower consisting of five leaves fused into a tube, five anthers between the petals, opposite stem leaves. The stem is leafy with lanceolate, pointed leaves. The flowers grow in an inflorescence at the top of the plant, as well as in pairs behind the stem leaves.
It can grow in two very interesting shapes - the leaves can be opposite but evenly distributed around the axis of the stem, or they can be seemingly two-rowed (all in the same plane), with pairs of flowers growing above them.
